I have always wanted to do a photo wall with different, but similar frames. I collected a plethora of black frames over the past year or so, all black but different shapes and materials. For photos, I used our wedding as the theme. Most stairwells have a lot of wall space that goes unused, so this was the perfect place for my photo wall. I arranged all of the frames on the floor, and then taped up a paper cutout of each photo on the wall to make sure the design layout would work. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Now walking down the stairs is like walking down the aisle all over again, which was the happiest day of my life!
We just purchased our first home together! Our new home is on Lakeshore Drive in Nashville on Old Hickory lake. We are excited to begin renovating and will post pictures of all of our progress here.

It looks rail good
Our old railings were quite traditional - vertical wood spindles. We decided to go with something a bit more modern (surprise!) and updated them to metal. We also decided on a horizontal design, which I LOVE! Our friends Andy and Rich at Nashville Fab were able to bring Jeff's drawings to life, and then weld them in our home. Hooray! Once they were installed, we decided to do a similar treatment to our outdoor lights (click to read more about that process) and polls and treat them to a bronze oil rub.
